PT Launcher processes profile data locally. It does not upload profile data to Picktek and includes no advertising, tracking or analytics SDKs.

Local data

The app keeps profile names, detected account names or emails, folder locations, permission bookmarks and process references on your Mac. Saved profile data may include conversations, settings and authentication files used by the provider. Copying reads the folders you approve and creates a verified local copy. Original files are retained.

Permissions and launch helpers

macOS folder dialogs grant access to the folders you choose. PT Launcher installs fixed launch helpers in its own Application Scripts folder after setup permission. These open separate profiles, focus their windows or request normal closure. A helper can read limited account metadata from the provider’s local interface to identify the account.

Update requests

While open, the app periodically contacts Anthropic and OpenAI’s official release services. Downloads also contact the relevant vendor. These requests transmit ordinary connection information such as your IP address. They do not include profile names, emails, conversations or authentication files. Downloads, managed installations and copy recovery data stay in your chosen library’s support folder.

Optional local Dock support

A separately installed local helper can read Dock icon positions with Accessibility permission. Local process references and icon bounds are exchanged with PT Launcher so it can draw names while focused. That information is not uploaded. This helper is not bundled in the current App Store draft.

Your choices

Rename a profile, reveal its folder or remove its list entry. Removing an entry leaves the files intact. Switching libraries keeps the old one in place. The public demo uses fictional files in a temporary directory and deletes only that directory when the demo closes.

Separate providers

Claude and Codex are separate apps. Their services, accounts and privacy practices are governed by their respective providers. Apple handles App Store downloads and diagnostics according to your Apple settings. PT Launcher’s local processing does not describe these separate services.

This website and support

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes ordinary request information to serve and protect it. We add no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you email support, Picktek uses your address and supplied information to answer your request. Contact luka@picktek.com for support or privacy questions.
